"Only In Dreams..."
It happened during summer. My family and I went to Scotland for a trip. We stayed at a hotel called "The Piton". At around the second week of our stay, my parents and my two brothers left me in our hotel room because they let me sleep after a hectic trip the last night. So when I woke up, I was alone and they weren't coming back in 5 hours. That's when I met her.
She was sitting in the lounge reading a book. She wore a yellow short, jeans, and old sneakers. The best thing about her was that she was really pretty. I thought, "What the hell, it's Scotland and I won't be staying long so I might as well try." And try I did. I gathered up my courage, and walked up to her to introduce myself.
As a came closer, I saw that her red hair reached her shoulders and that she was a little bit shorter than me. The book she was reading was called "The Tire of Sound." She saw me coming, and I blurted out a weak hi. Not quite the introduction I imagined.
Surprisingly, she was very friendly. Turns out that she lived in the hotel. She was the son of the hotel manager and their home isn't really what'd you call close to the hotel. The owner decided that they could stay in the hotel to help them out with some financial problems. So I asked if she knew if we could go exploring in the hotel or something to avoid boredom. She said she knew just the place where to go.
It was the hotel rooftop. The view up there was amazing. There was a sunset that was going down two hills that made the view even more spectacular. It was as if God put the hills there to make it even more stunning.
We went near the railing to get a better view, and as we drew near, I held her hand. It was the softest thing I ever touched and there was this amazing feeling inside of me. We slowly went next each other and then...then I woke up.
It was all a dream. I wasn't even out of town. I was in my house, inside my room, on my bed, sweating. I looked at the watch and it said 2:07 a.m.
It seems like only in dreams do I get the courage to go up to a pretty girl to say hi.
It seems like only in dreams do girls notice me.
It seems like only in dreams can I be happy.
I wish I were still dreaming...
